My name is D.K. Mckenzie. I’m a New England artist, writer, music producer primarily. I started playing music around 7 years old on the violin. Then took up piano around the same time. In my teens, I switched to drums as my primary instrument but then took up piano and keyboards again when I entered the music program in college.

From that time on, I was greatly interested in music composing and still am. As a songwriter, I don’t see vast differences between “writing” and composing as they are very similar if not identical.

As a music producer, I am greatly interested in all aspects of a song and aim to produce a well crafted song / musical idea.

My forte in music production comes from my skills in: mixing, songwriting, performing, recording, sound design, and my ability to play various instruments including, bass, piano, guitar, drums, and voice.
